Fraport welcomes “New Airline” to the Frankfurt fleet of 130 carriers

Oman Air – the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman - inaugurated air services betweenMuscat(MCT) andFrankfurt Airport (FRA). A total of four nonstop flights per week are being offered. A Fraport spokesman stressed:“Frankfurt Airport’s global network comprises more than 130 airlines linking the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main metropolitan region with some 300 destinations in 106 countries around the world. We are very pleased to welcome Oman Air as a ‘new airline at FRA’ and that it has added Frankfurt Airport to its timetable. We wish the staff of Oman Air great success and clear skies always.”   With the addition of this Muscat flight from Oman Air, all important tourist and business destinations in the Middle East can now be conveniently reached nonstop via Frankfurt Airport. Founded in 1993, Oman Air is serving the new FRA route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Today’s inaugural flight is being flown with Oman Air’s brand new Airbus A330 jet, which was delivered to the airline only two weeks ago.  “We are very pleased to be able to add another nonstop destination to our extensive Frankfurt Airport schedule - especially during these difficult times in the global economy. This clearly underscores the strength of Frankfurt Airport as a global air transportation hub,” explained the Fraport spokesman.
